How to use the Video element
Updated over a week ago
  1. Click on the “Design” tab from the navigation bar at the top of the StoreLab Platform.

  2. Ensure you are on the “Homepage” of the App builder. Visible from the dropdown menu underneath the navigation bar at the top.

  3. Within the homepage builder, click the “Add Element” button on the bottom right-hand side of the Homepage elements list.

  4. From the list of elements, select “Video”.

5. Add a video by clicking the “select a video” box under the “Content” heading on the right-hand element editor.

Or, select a video from your Media Library (videos you have previously uploaded to the StoreLab App Builder) via the “Media Libray” button underneath.

Note: Be sure to select a video in MP4 format only. Also, ensure the file size is below 40MB for faster loading times. However, the file size is large enough to avoid any pixelation.

6. Once the video has been uploaded, select your desired “Video Placeholder”. This is the still image that shows before the video starts playing.

Note: All videos will immediately play on a loop once the homepage has loaded.

7. Adjust the height of the video to your preferred look.

From the dropdown menu under “Settings” & “Height”, choose from the following:

  • Adapt (Use Video Aspect Ratio): Maintains the original height and width of the selected image.

  • Medium, Large & Full Screen: Adjusts the image height to fill more of the screen.

8. Once you are happy with the content, video placeholder and height of the video, click the green “Save” button in the bottom right-hand corner of the element editor.

9. Using the six dotted icon to the right of the element, drag & drop your new element to your desired location on the Homepage.
