How to migrate my Android application to your service?

A step-by-step guide on how to transfer your existing Android mobile application over to the StoreLab Platform.

Who is this guide for?

If you are currently hosting an Android mobile application with another app-building company or by yourself, you can opt to migrate your existing application over to our platform without needing to create a new application.

This means you can keep all of the customers who have downloaded your application and the migration will not interfere with the end user experience.


How do I migrate my Android application?

  • (1) Navigate to your Google Play Console account

  • (2) Select 'Users & Permissions' from the left-hand side menu of your dashboard

  • (3) Select 'Invite New Users as shown below

  • (4) Type in [email protected] as the email address you want to invite. Once done, please scroll down and select the drop-down that says 'add-app'.

  • (5) Select your app from the list and click apply; then select 'Admin' for permissions as shown in the screenshot below.

  • (6) Next, click on the option for 'Account Permissions' next to 'App Permissions' and select 'Admin' as the role to give us. Once this is done, click 'Invite User' as shown in the screenshot below

  • (7) Now that you have successfully invited us, all actions on your end for Android migration have been completed.

Next steps

Once we successfully accept the invitation to your Google Play Console account, your Implementation Expert will complete all of the technical aspects of your setup on your behalf.

This will include creating a service account for you as well as requesting a new signing key from Google.

This entire process can take anywhere from 48-72 hours before we are ready to push your application for final review.

Important Note: Please ensure that your 'Launch' page on the StoreLab Platform has been filled out and your app design is ready to go. As soon as this 48-72 hour period expires we will be ready to push your app out.
