A step by step on guide on how to set up the Route Integration with StoreLab.

Why Route x StoreLab

Integrating Route with StoreLab allows brands to seamlessly offer carbon-neutral package insurance as part of the checkout process, directly within the app. If a customer's package is lost, missing, or stolen, they can use their acquired insurance to make a claim for their new package.

Important Note: Please make sure your Route-enabled product is enabled for the StoreLab Sales Channel. This will enable Route pricing to be added to your customer's carts'.


How to link Route x StoreLab

  • (1) Open your Shopify Dashboard and navigate to 'Apps' on the left hand side of your screen.

  • (2) Select the 'Route - Protection & Tracking' App from the list of available options.

  • (3) Sign into your Route account on the following page until you have reached your Route Dashboard.

  • (4) Navigate to 'Admin' from the left-hand side menu and you will see a page containing 'Store Details'.

  • (5) Please copy down your Merchant ID & Public API Key as shown in the screenshot below.

  • (6) Now that you have your Merchant ID & Public API Key, navigate to the product you have created for your Route offering in your Shopify Dashboard.

  • (7) Please copy down your Product ID as shown in the screenshot below.

  • (8) On the same page, click on the 3 dots next to 'Publishing' on the right hand side to ensure StoreLab has been enabled as a Sales Channel for this product as shown below.

  • (9) Now that you have your Merchant ID, Public API Key & Product ID - please navigate to the 'Integrations' tab of your StoreLab Dashboard.

  • (10) Find 'Route - Protection & Tracking' within the list of available integrations on StoreLab and press 'Install Now' as shown below.

  • (11) Now please paste in the Merchant ID, Public API Key & Product ID you copied down earlier. Once done, please click 'Save Setup'.

  • (12) Once you have entered the required information and clicked 'Save Setup', this integration will be successfully completed.
